1. PT Bhakti Investama Tbk (the “Company”, ticker code : ”BHIT”) recorded growth in consolidated revenues of 23% to Rp 5, 94 trillion from Rp 4, 85 trillion in the previous year. The rise was contributed by:
2. Consolidated operating income was recorded at Rp 638 billion, or declined by 43% from Rp 1, 11 trillion in 2007. This was triggered by Linktone operational expense, a significant jump in new customers acquisition expenses and an increase in new branches operating expenses. 3. The weakening of Rupiah against US Dollar which had reached Rp 10.950, - per dollar in the end of 2008, or depreciated by 16% if compared to the end of 2007 fiscal year, has resulted in the rise of foreign currency loss by 292%. Moreover, with the rise in interest and financial expenses along with lesser amount in divestment profit, compared to the previous year, hence the Company recorded Rp 355 billion net loss. 4. The Company has recorded consolidated of total asset amounted at Rp 17, 76 trillion, or decreased by 10% if compared to the previous year which was Rp 19, 74 trillion. 5. Hary Tanoesoedibjo, the Company’s president director said, “the decline of asset was primarily caused by several corporate actions conducted by the Company and its subsidiaries in 2008, such as shares divestment of PT Monile-8 Telecom Tbk to 19%, carried out by PT Global Mediacom Tbk”. 6. The decrease also took place in the Company’s liability by 18% from Rp 8, 97 trillion to Rp 7, 32 Trillion. This was mainly attributed by divestment in PT Mobile-8 Telecom Tbk in 2008. 7. Meanwhile, the Company’s total equity stood at Rp 4, 85 trillion, shrank from Rp 6, 01 trillion in the previous year. The decline was resulted by unrealized loss on portfolio investment as much as Rp 484 billion as well as the decrease on profit balances to Rp 800 billion in accordance with the net loss recorded by the Company.
